FerroTex Magnetic
Questions and answers
Even if our products are easy to handle – a few questions always remain.
Characteristics
Is FerroTex Magnetic actually magnetic?
Thanks to the high non-rusting iron content (Ferro) in our wall coverings, neodymium magnets in particular adhere fantastically to the surface – but FerroTex Magnetic is itself non-magnetic. The principle is similar to a steel plate that you fix to the wall.

Does the surface actually lose adhesive power?
No, because just as magnets always stick to an iron plate, they always do so on FerroTex Magnetic.

Does FerroTex Magnetic smell?
No, the products themselves are already coated and almost odourless. Only during application, depending on the adhesive being used, can odours be released. However, this disappears shortly after drying. With regard to the emission behaviour of wall coverings in room use, FerroTex Magnetic meets the strict German requirements of the “AgBB scheme” and has passed the French “A+” requirements with excellence.

Is my WiFi signal blocked?
No, because FerroTex Magnetic is not a metal plate. Here the iron particles are arranged in an open and porous structure. Any WiFi signal can slip through there without any problems.

Won’t the beamer dazzle my team?
The user interface of Mag Script’n Project was developed especially for the use of short-distance beamers. Throw the projection of the beamer diagonally from below or diagonally from above onto the wall. This is the best way to avoid reflections.

Processing
Does the installation take long?
The particulare advantage of FerroTex Magnetic, especially compared to magnetic paints and magnetic plasters, is its easy handling and quick usability already after the adhesive has dried you can use the product 100%. Only Magnetic Pure products need to be painted 1-2 times after the adhesive is applied.
Which substrate is required?
Very simple rule: the flatter and smoother the substrate, the better the result. But you don’t need an extremely smooth surface, as is necessary for a magnetic foil, for example. It is important that the substrate is firm and does not sand.

Which adhesive should I use?
For normally absorbent surfaces such as plastered wall surfaces, you can easily use commercially available dispersion adhesives, which are also used to apply glass fibre wallpaper. On dense, non-absorbent surfaces such as glass or wood decor panels, a filler adhesive should be used.

Application
Which board markers should I use?
For board markers there is a clear guideline: All of them, as long as it is a board marker.

Oops – accidentally used permanent markers instead of board markers!
This happens from time to time, but is not a problem – as long as you notice your mistake in time. Moisten a paper towel with rubbing alcohol and carefully wipe the mark. But write down a good idea somewhere else beforehand, otherwise it will be gone with it.

What happens if the writings or drawings have not been removed from the surfaces for a long time?
In the whiteboard business, one hears a lot about ghost writing, the so-called ghosting. But because of the high cleaning resistance of FerroTex Magnetic it is not an issue here. Moisten a paper towel with rubbing alcohol and carefully rub the marks. The evil spirits have already disappeared.

Does the easy cleanability of the surface diminish?
No, because our products are designed for more than 10,000 wipe cycles.
